Tandoori chicken



Ingredients

For the 1st Marinade

12 skinless chicken thighs 

4 tsp paprika or kashmiri red powder

 juice 2 lemons

3 teaspoon ginger & garlic paste 

 1/2 teaspoon good quality red food colour

1/4th teaspoon Black pepper

salt as per taste

For the 2nd marinade

300g hung yogurt

1/4th tsp garam masala

3/4th  tsp ground cumin

½ tsp chilli powder

¼ tsp coriander powder 

6 teaspoon dried kasuri methi


Charcol smoke :

1 charccol 

1/2 teaspoon ghee

METHOD :

1.Mix all the ingredients of 1st marinade and keep aside for an hour


2.then Mix all of the 2nd marinade ingredients together and pour over the chicken. Give everything a good mix, then cover and chill for at least 8 hr or 0vernight .

  1. 3.Heat the tandoor or barbeque Lift the chicken pieces onto a rack over a baking tray. Brush over a little oil and grill for 8 mins on each side or until lightly charred and completely cooked through.
  2. 4. After its well cooked give  charcol smoke to get tandoori effect
  3. Procedure of charcol smoke
  4. take the charcol and heat in a flame until the charcol become red in colour , In a large bowl put all the chicken pieces then in a middle of it put a small bowl made up of steel ,put the ghee on it and above it put the heated charcol and close the lid of the large bowl.wait 5 min and serve tandoori with green chutney
