Veg Zhonghua Samosa

Veg  Zhonghua Samosa /  Noodles Samosa










 Ingredients

            o   For Dough
o   3 cups Maida / all purpose flour
o   ½ cup Semolina / sooji
o   2 tspn Carom seeds /Ajwain
o   Salt as per taste
o   3 tspn Oil
o   Water as required

    For Stuffing

o   1 cup Hakka noodles 
o   1 Capsicum
o   1 Spring onion
o   2 Carrot
o   100g Cabbage
o   7-9French beans
o   4-5 cloves Garlic
o   1 inch Ginger
o   2 tspn Chili sauce
o   ¼  tspn Soya sauce
o   2 tspn of vinegar
o   Black pepper as  per required
o   2 tspn Oil
o   Salt (as per taste)

      METHOD :

      Dough preparation

ü  In utensil take maida and add sooji  and mix.
ü  Add salt,carom seeds  ,1 teaspoon oil and add water and knead a tight dough. After kneading, add 2 teaspoon oil and knead again.
ü  Dough is now ready keep it aside for atleast ½ hour.

      Stuffing preparation

ü  Heat 4 to 5 cups of water with salt and few drops of oil till it boils.
ü  Break noodles and add into boiling water and cook it untill it becomes soft. This would take around 6 to 7 minutes.
ü  When noodles are cooked properly, drain them and keep them aside.
ü  Rinse all vegetables and cut cabbage,carrot,capsicum and spring onion into thin strips.
ü  Finely chop french beans and make paste of ginger and garlic.
ü  Heat oil in the pan and add chopped spring onion and ginger garlic paste.
ü  When the oil starts to separate from onion.
ü  Add chopped cabbage, carrot,capsicum and french beans and saute for a minute.
ü  Add soya sauce and chili sauce and saute. Add vinegar , salt and pepper and sauté.
ü  Add boiled noddles and saute and mix well with all the vegetables.
ü  Cool down stuffing for 3 to 4 minutes.

      SAMOSA’S  METHOD

ü  Divide dough into 10 equal pieces and make dough balls.
ü  Cut down the edges of a balls  and make one square and cut it in two pieces you will get two stripes.
ü  Put that strips in plus mark one horizontal and one vertical and apply little water at the middle to stick the strip.
ü  In the middle of plus where two strips joins put 2 spoons of stuffing.
ü  Now start packing it and start with lower side and pack it then left side of plus and pack it then upper side of plus and pack it at last right side of plus and at the time of packing apply little water and pack last side.
ü  Stuffing should not come outside after packing of Samosa is done.
ü  If ends of Samosa are still open take little water in finger and apply it to stick the end.
ü  samosa are now ready to be fried.Heat oil in the pan and fry samosa till they become golden brown on a medium flame.
ü  Veg  Zhonghua Samosa can be served with Tomato Ketchup or Chili or Schezwan sauce.

 Veg  Zhonghua Samosa is a fried or baked dish with a savoury filling, of hakka noodles, . Its size and consistency may vary, but typically it is distinctly triangular or  in shape. Veg  Zhonghua samosas are usually vegetarian, and often accompanied by a mint chutney or tomato sause Samosas are a popular  appetizer or snack in the local cuisines .
